We collect the following when you purchase:

• Contact Data: Email address (for download delivery and support)
• Phone Data: Mobile number (for order support and payment gateway compliance)
• Transaction Data: Order ID, product purchased, amount paid, payment timestamp, and payment method type — recorded by our payment gateway
• Technical Data: IP address and browser/device type — collected automatically by server logs for security

We do not collect sensitive personal data including passwords, card numbers, or biometric data.

3. Purpose of Processing

Your data is used exclusively to: deliver purchased digital products; process and record transactions for compliance; provide customer support; send transactional emails (order confirmation, download link); detect fraud; and comply with Indian tax and financial regulations. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: Contract Performance — to fulfil your purchase; Legal Obligation — for GST compliance and record-keeping; Legitimate Interests — for fraud prevention and platform security.

5. Data Sharing

Maktab Digital does not sell or rent your data. Data is shared only with: Cashfree Payments — to process your transaction (governed by their privacy policy); Legal Authorities — if required by Indian law or court order; Successors — in the event of a business transfer under equivalent protections.

6. Payment Data

Maktab Digital does not store or access your card numbers, UPI credentials, or banking passwords. All payment data is handled exclusively by Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. (PCI-DSS Level 1, RBI-regulated). We receive only a transaction reference and payment status.

7. Data Retention

• Transaction records: Minimum 7 years — required by Indian financial and tax regulations
• Support correspondence: 2 years from last interaction
• Server logs: Auto-purged after 90 days

8. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to: access your data; request correction of inaccuracies; request erasure (subject to legal retention obligations); and lodge a complaint with us or the Data Protection Board of India. 9. Cookies

maktabdigital.store uses session cookies only — temporary files to maintain your checkout session state. These are deleted when you close your browser. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or equivalent tracking is operated on this platform.

10. Security

We implement: SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit; access controls restricting order data to authorised personnel; server-side input validation; and HMAC-SHA256 webhook signature verification for all payment gateway communications.

11. Children

Maktab Digital's platform is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us immediately for deletion.
